Connections

I've now registered for the programme.

Being new to blogging, I thought I'd get some more practice.  One advantage of posting my first entry today was that I could look at other participants' blogs and was very impressed.  I think 23 Things is going to be very useful and will allow us all to learn from each other as we become more familiar with the applications we're trying out.

At luchtime today I went to a concert in the Ensemble Room by the Erato Piano Trio (pianist, violinist and cellist).  Listening to the superb music and looking round the room I felt that the audience and the players were all connected and communicating by sharing the experience of music.  A different sort of interconnectivity from Web 2.0 but still valid.

First blog post

Creating and naming my blog is the first step on the 23 Things pilgrimage.  It took a while to set up the Google account but that's now OK.  I opted for the blog name "Ubuntu Moments" as it seemed to capture the "interconnectivity" aspect of Web 2.0.
Having not made time for Web 2.0 in the past, I see 23 Things as a good opportunity to explore what's out there and find which features might be useful to me in my work
